Manama, May. 23. (BNA) – Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development at Ministry of Social Development Khalid Ishaq has received the Malaysian Ambassador to Bahrain Ahmed Shahizan Abdul-Samad and his accompanying delegation.

The Assistant Undersecretary praised the advanced level of the Bahraini-Malaysian relations, affirming the kingdom’s keenness to develop those ties for the common interests of the two friendly peoples.

He also highlighted Bahrain’s experience with civil society organisations and the role of the National Centre for NGOs support.

They also discussed areas of cooperation regarding the Malaysian community’s activities and programmes.

The Malaysian Ambassador lauded the Ministry of Social Development’s support for expatriate communities’ programmes and events.

Director of NGOs Support Najwa Janahi and Head of Legal Affairs at the same Directorate Omar Al-Saidi were present.
