In a press conference, the Bahraini opposition announced that the national dialogue is its strategic option that will move Bahrain from the case of fragmentation to taking the national responsibility.
Bahraini opposition submitted a number of items as part of a new initiative for the success of the second round of the national dialogue:
1. Stopping media instigation.
2. Releasing prisoners of conscience.
3. Halting the abuse, arrests and raids carried out by the security services and condemning violence and counter-violence, whatever its source is.
4. Providing all the parties of the dialogue with an access to media.
5. Implementing the government’s commitments, especially the recommendations of the Bahraini Committee fact-finding and the recommendations of the World Council of Human Rights.
6. Refraining from fragmenting the Bahraini society on religious and sectarian basis and from adopting the policy of discrimination among the citizens.
The opposition stance comes ahead of the national dialogue session tomorrow Wednesday, August 28.
