Manama, Jul 8 (BNA) — Bahraini soccer officials took part in running two of FIFA World Cup 2014 matches this evening received an official reception at Bahrain International Airport upon their return from Brazil, following concluding their successful mission there.
Bahraini soccer officials comprises Nawaf Shukiralla, Ibrahim Sabit and Yasser Telfet.
Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Secretary-General, Abdulrahman Askar, Deputy Chairman of Bahrain Football Association (BFA), Ali Albuainain, and a number of BFA members of Board of Directors were at the forefront to receive the Bahraini soccer officials.
The Bahraini crew, who have captured the eyes of critics and observers, successfully ran two matches in the third group, Spain against Australia and Portugal against Ghana, where official Nawaf Shukiralla was assigned as the fourth official as Spain took on Chile and Yasser Telfet was assigned as a substitute referee for the same match.
Three Bahraini soccer officials had participated in World Cup Finals, including Ibrahim Al-Doy in Spain 1982, Jassim Mandi in Italy 1190 and assistant referee Yusuf Al-Qatan in USA 1994.
