The silent protest, which was organized by National Unity Society, was held inside Ahmed al-Fateh Grand Mosque following the Friday Prayers.

Protesters expressed their anger over violence, terrorism and the killing of innocent people by raising pictures of the victims of violence in the Persian Gulf country.

They also held banners demanding those behind the recent wave of violence in the country to be brought to justice.

Regime forces showed no reaction to the protest, in which high-ranking officials from National Unity Society had also attended.

Bahrain, which is home to the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet, has been the scene of anti-regime protests since February 2011 and scores of people have been killed and hundreds more injured in the regime crackdown.

On October 30, the Manama regime imposed a ban on all public gatherings across the country.

The protesters, however, say they will continue holding demonstrations against the Al Khalifa regime until their demands for the establishment of a democratically elected government and an end to rights violations are met.
