Bahrain will take part in 11 events at the GCC Games to be held in Dammam from October 15 to 26.

Representatives of nine of the 11 national sports associations involved in the games and officials of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) attended the first coordinating meeting in Seef yesterday.

Bahrain chef de mission to the games Feras Al Halwachi welcomed the officials and conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King’s representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Al Halwachi highlighted the match schedules and venues  hosting the games. 

Bahrain will take part in athletics, football, basketball, volleyball, handball, weightlifting, table tennis, bowling, karate, swimming and goal ball.
