Bahrain’s civilisational achievements praised

Manama, Dec. 15 (BNA): Information and Parliament Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi extended heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier on the National Day and the 16th anniversary of HM the King’s accession to the throne. He lauded the kingdom’s major achievements in various fields in the prosperous era of HM the King.

During the inauguration of the National Day Festival at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), Al-Hammadi congratulated the citizens, stressing that the kingdom’s celebrations of the National and Accession Days represent a magnificent embodiment of patriotism and allegiance to the leadership. “They also reflect pride in the development and civilisational achievements brought about to Bahrain and its people in all fields,” he said.

He also commended the support of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for the third consecutive year to the organisation of the festival at BIC, the home of motorsport in the Middle East, urging all people in Bahrain to enjoy the line-up of recreational functions to be held for four days running.

The Information and Parliament Affairs Minister pointed out a comprehensive media plan to highlight the functions and shed light on the massive popular interaction which reflects pride in the continuous achievements made in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He thanked all government and non-government institutions for their support to the celebrations of the National Day and the 16th anniversary of HM King Hamad’s accession to the throne, stressing that the festivities mirror unity and a national consensus to continue the development march unabated.

The National Day Festival, which was inaugurated yesterday, is organised by BIC and will continue till December 17 daily from 4 pm to 10 pm. It has been attended on the first two days by more than 35,000 visitors. The festival features a wide range of functions including musical shows, fireworks displays, a shopping bazar and recreational activities for children.
