Bahrain’s KHCB marks National Day with special event for staff

Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) has celebrated Bahrain’s 42nd National Day and the 14th anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s accession to the throne in an event arranged by the Social Committee in the bank.


KHCB’s CEO Ismaeel Al Meer, members of the executive management team and staff of the bank attended the event and expressed their best wishes to the King, the government, and the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

 

Bapco families have afun-filled National Day

The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) recently held its Bahrain National Day celebrations as part of its Annual Family Gathering at Awali’s Princess Sabeeka Park.

The event, which featured a family area, children’s games, food stalls and various cultural activities showcasing Bahrain’s rich history and heritage, was attended by more than a thousand Bapco employees and their families, in addition to members of the company’s top management.

Activities included children’s games and on-stage activities, a magic show, a pottery painting contest, and winners were awarded prizes. Bahrain flags, badges, scarves and souvenirs were distributed to visitors to celebrate the spirit of National Day among the public. People turned up in large numbers and enjoyed a cultural and family extravaganza at the well-decorated venue, on the occasion of Bahrain’s 42nd National Day which was on December 16, 2013.

 

Alba opens Oasis Hall

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba)’s pride in being a Bahraini company was demonstrated as employees donned white and red — the colours of Bahrain’s flag — and joined together in celebrations held across the plant to mark Bahrain’s 42nd National Day and 14th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s accession to the throne on Tuesday, December 15.

Chairman of Alba’s board of directors Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji, chief executive officer Tim Murray, chairman of Alba’s Labour Union Ali Al Binali, executive management members, managers of various departments, union members and employees took part in the festivities held at the plant.

Commenting on this patriotic occasion Al Kooheji said: “Bahrain’s National Day is a day to congratulate and express our gratitude to the leadership for all the accomplishments that the country has witnessed. ”

The highlight of the celebrations was the inauguration of the Oasis Hall by Al Kooheji. The Oasis Hall — situated next to the Princess Sabeeka Oasis — offers a spectacular view of the lake and the green area.
