Bahrain’s medal haul rose to 18 by the end of the third day yesterday at the 52nd GCC Disabled Athletics Championship in Doha.
The first medal of the day was won by Fatima Abdulrazzaq Safar, who came second in women’s discus throw to claim the silver medal.
Her teammate Ruba Al Amri won the bronze medal.
In the 100 meters run, Elyas Abdulla Al Yasi claimed the silver medal, while his teammate Zakariya Mansoor the bronze.
Bahrain’s last medal of the day came through Zahra Abdulla Al Kulaib, who won the silver in the shot putt.
Bahrain’s tally includes three gold, eight silver and seven bronze.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia are leading the medals table with 36 medals, followed by the UAE with 27, Kuwait with 28, 15 followed by Bahrain in fifth place with 18 and Oman are at the bottom with four medals.
