The architecturally-offbeat twisted United Tower, which was initially slated for completion in Q1 2015, is now set for a mid-2016 opening.
The announcement comes in light of Bahrain Bay’s construction progress report, with the master-developer’s CEO claiming completion on parts of the project next year.
Cooperation Investment House is developing the United Tower, which will anchor Bahrain Bay.
The tower rises from an octagonal floor plate, twisting counter clockwise that boasts uninterrupted 360 degree views of the bay and the Corniche.
The winding 47-storey tower will house Wyndham Grand Manama, an international five star hotel by US headquartered Wyndham Hotel Group.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the hotel will occupy 14 floors of the spiraling landmark, along with office space to be leased on the open market.
