Manama , Oct 22 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammad Ali Humaidan hailed the role played by Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) and achievements at the national level in the field of Bahranisation of jobs and development of national cadres in its area.

This came during honouring BAS in recognition of its achievements at the GCC level at the opening ceremony of the 32nd GCC Labour Ministers Council meeting recently held in Doha under the patronage of Prime Minister, Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

The minister paid tribute to all companies operating in Bahrain bolstering the role of the national labour in line with leadership’s vision with respect to prioritizing the employment of Bahrainis in the private sector.

He expressed keenness to work in conformity with the directives of the Gulf leaders, who always stress on supporting the Gulf cadres and offering them the opportunity to play their role in the GCC labour market, consequently reducing the unemployment rate and reinforcing the principles of social responsibility toward achieving the sustainable development.

BAS representative affirmed that the company will carry on its policy of job nationalization and development of human resources, appreciating the Labour Ministry for nominating BAS for the award.
