Alcoa Cuts Aluminum Demand Growth Forecast as China Slows 

Alcoa Inc. (AA) on Tuesday said it had reduced its forecast for global aluminum demand growth in 2012, citing a slowdown in China, the world’s largest consumer of the lightweight metal.

 Alcoa Tops Estimates, Settles Case With Bahrain Firm 

Aluminum maker Alcoa Inc. reported a net loss of $143 million for the third quarter, partly reflecting the costs of settling a four-year legal battle over bribery allegations, but results were modestly better than Wall Street’s forecasts.

BASE METALS: LME Metals Mostly Lower, Copper Maintains Support 

Base metals on the London Metal Exchange moderately extended losses on concerns of a slackening global economy and continued dollar strength, although copper prices remain well-supported.
