Manama: Batelco has announced its sponsorship of the Bahrain International Airshow 2016 (BIAS 2016), to be held at the Sakhir Airbase next year.

The fourth edition of the Bahrain International Airshow from January 21 to 23 will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad and under the supervision of His Majesty’s  personal representative and BIAS Supreme Organising Committee head Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

BIAS 2016 is being organised by Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry and the Royal Bahraini Air Force in association with Farnborough International.

Batelco chairman Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and Transportation and Telecommunications Minister and Supreme Organising Committee for BIAS deputy chairman Kamal Ahmed signed the sponsorship contract at the Civil Aviation Affairs
premises.

Shaikh Hamad said that Batelco was honoured to extend its support to the event which is taking place for the 4th time in the kingdom.

Mr Ahmed also expressed his appreciation and pride at the role that Batelco plays in supporting key national events and also extended his gratitude for Batelco’s long-standing partnership.
