Batelco delivers Ramadan baskets for needy

Batelco has delivered 30,000 Ramadan baskets to Bahrain’s charitable societies as part of its annual donations programme.

The charities are currently distributing the baskets to needy families across the kingdom to help them during the holy month.

As part of this year’s programme, Batelco visited Bahrain Parents Care Home to distribute gift baskets to the elderly, said a statement.

Each basket weighed about 10 kg and included essential foodstuffs that are traditionally in high demand during Ramadan, it said.

 “We are delighted each year to make this contribution to the Bahraini community. It is without doubt a very worthwhile initiative that is highly appreciated by the charitable societies and needy families,” said Batelco Group general manager media relations Ahmed Al Janahi. – TradeArabia News Service
