Batelco donates to Crown Prince’s scholarship programme

Bahrain’s leading telecommunications solutions provider Batelco continues its support for the Crown Prince International Scholarship Programme (CPISP), as part of its commitment to educational initiatives in the kingdom.
In 2013, Batelco renewed its platinum sponsorship of the programme, pledging a total of BD1 million ($2.6 million) over five years, and recently handed over a cheque to the value of BD200,000 as its contribution for this year.
Muna Al Hashemi, acting chief executive officer, said that Batelco was delighted to be involved with the CPISP which provides top international educational, training, and cultural opportunities for outstanding Bahraini students.
“Since the formation of the CPISP in 2006, Batelco has been a major supporter of the programme’s objectives and has donated significant funds to assist with its success.”
Al Hashemi also praised the vision and efforts of the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in investing in Bahraini youth and supporting educational and training programmes aimed at developing the talents of outstanding students.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, advisor for Political and Economic Affairs at the Court of the Crown Prince and board member and head of the Financial and Administrative Committee of the CPISP, extended his appreciation to Batelco on behalf of the CPISP saying that the support of Bahrain’s leading organisations such as Batelco was invaluable in the continuing success of the programme which aims to develop the talents and abilities of outstanding Bahraini students and provide them with the best educational opportunities at top international universities. – TradeArabia News Service
