Manama, Feb. 21 (BNA)– Bahrain’s leading integrated communications’ provider Batelco, said it was the platinum sponsor of the University of Bahrain (UoB) Career Day. The event will be held at the university’s Sakhir campus on March 11, 12 and 13.
Batelco General Manager Human Resources, Suhaila Al Nowakhda, presented the sponsorship cheque to UoB Vice President for Community Service and Alumni Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Mansour Al Shehab, at Batelco Hamala Headquarters. Prof. Al Shehab was accompanied by UoB Director of Career Counseling Office Nael Al Anais.
The telecom providers career day stand, will be located in the centre of the main hall and it is expected that around 800 students will meet with Batelco officials who will brief them about the careers at Batelco and also provide advice based on their experience in their respective fields.
“Career Day provides the perfect opportunity for university students to know more about careers in the telecommunications industry as well as the wider job market. The event will provide a clear picture about the career prospects available at Batelco, including the qualifications required to take the jobs at Batelco for,” Al Nowakhda said.
Prof. Al Shehab thanked Batelco for its generousity and stressed that their continuous support for the university’s activities would benefit the work market in the Kingdom.
“The continued sponsorship of this event has created a unique relationship between the university and one of the major companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which will surely contribute to further boosting mutual co-operation,” he added.
