Bahrain Academy children visit oil museum

AGROUP of students from the Children’s Bahrain Academy recently visited the oil museum. The visit is part of the ongoing efforts of the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) to foster mutual cooperation with the various organisations and institutions of the kingdom. During the visit, the group toured inside the various sections of the museum and was briefed on its collections and possessions. The children viewed the rare exhibits of the museum which gave them a good idea about Bahrain’s history and heritage.

The museum, currently managed by Bapco, features various exhibits and collections which seek to preserve and disseminate knowledge on the history of oil discovery in the entire region. The oil museum has developed over the years into an educational centre and a major tourist and educational attraction. It is dedicated to the theme of oil, its search, discovery and development in Bahrain, and its impact on the life of the Bahraini People.
