Batelco wins ‘telecom deal’ award

Bahrain’s leading telecom company Batelco won the ‘Telecom Deal of the Year’ award at the annual CommsMEA awards ceremony in Dubai recently.

The CommsMEA awards are aimed at celebrating and paying tribute to the telecoms industry professionals and operators that have demonstrated outstanding performance and achievements  during the year.

Batelco was selected for the award due to its acquisition of CWC (Cable and Wireless Communications) interest in Dhiraagu (Maldives), Sure Channel Islands and Isle of Man and CWC operations in Falkland Islands, St Helena, Ascension and Diego Garcia.

After receiving the award, the Bahrain chief executive Rashid Abdulla, said that Batelco was delighted to be recognised for its efforts and investment in completing the CWC Deal. – TradeArabia News Service
