Batelco’s sponsorship of BIAS2016 announced

Manama, Aug. 24 (BNA): Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee for Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS), Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, praised Bahrain’s leading integrated communications provider Batelco for its continuous support since the Airshow’s inaugural launch in 2010.

The fourth edition of the Bahrain International Airshow will be hosted under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the supervision of His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa – HM the King’s Personal Representative and Head of the Supreme Organising Committee of BIAS2016 at Sakhir Airbase on January 21-23.

The Airshow is organised by the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and the Royal Bahraini Air Force in association with Farnborough International.

The sponsorship agreement was signed by the Minister and Batelco’s Chairman, Shaikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

On this occasion, the Minister expressed his appreciation and pride at the role that Batelco plays in supporting key national events and in contributing to the show’s success and subsequently in showcasing the Kingdom’s caliber in hosting high level international events. also extended his gratitude and appreciation for Batelco’s long standing partnership which is a testament of the company’s commitment in taking part in national initiatives that aim at boosting economic activity in different sectors and in highlighting investment opportunities that Bahrain has to offer.

Shaikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said that Batelco is honoured and delighted to extend its support to this event which is taking place for the fourth time in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

“The prestigious event is poised to once again to put the Kingdom of Bahrain in the world spotlight and demonstrate to the international business community the outstanding capabilities offered by organisations operating in Bahrain,” he said.
