BBK donates BD15,000 to disability, autism care

In line with BBK’s initiatives for a brighter community, deputy chief executive of the business group Reyadh Sater welcomed at the bank’s headquarters, Fareeda Al Moaayed, chairman of Bahraini Association for intellectual Disability and Autism to receive BBK’s contribution for their request.

Bapco holds 10th Green School Award Ceremony
The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) recently celebrated its 10th Green School Award Ceremony (2014-2015) to honour winners of the Bapco Green School Award.
The ceremony was held at the Bapco Club in Awali, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Dr Abdulla Al Muttawa, Bapco’s chief executive Dr Pete Bartlett, deputy chief executive (Refining Marketing) Ebrahim Talib, and members of the management committee. Also present at the ceremony were key officials and guests.
Over 200 Angel investors take part in summit
More than 200 leading angel investors, dynamic start-ups from the Mena region and members of the local media, gathered in Bahrain for the second Mena Angel Investors Summit 2015. The event was organised by Tenmou, Bahrain’s First ‘Business Angels, in strategic partnership with the Economic Development Board at the Four Seasons Hotel.
In a fast-paced and exciting agenda, 45 dynamic fast-growth start-ups from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Egypt and Jordan, presented their business pitches to the angel investors in attendance in hopes of procuring more funding to take their businesses to the next level.
VIVA starts loyalty programme
Further enhancing the value offering for its customers, VIVA Bahrain takes a leading step with the introduction of VIVA Rewards, a loyalty rewards programme introduced to thank its customers via exciting benefits. VIVA’s new loyalty programme is based in tiers and allows subscribers to accumulate points based on their usage, which can then be redeemed for telecom benefits, including free VIVA to VIVA calls, SMS, international minutes, as well as additional data.
VIVA Rewards is open to all VIVA subscribers with free enrolment to start earning points by using their mobile or data services. The programme is classified into various tiers, starting with the basic ‘Bronze level’, earning up to 120 points, followed by the ‘Silver level’ from 121 to 299 points, and progressing to the ‘Gold level’ from 300 to 600 points. VIVA customers have the flexibility to grow their tier level via their mobile or data transactions and reach up to the highest ‘Elite level’ by earning 601 or more points.
