BBK renews key bills agreement with AEME

MANAMA: Leading Bahrain bank BBK has renewed and expanded its partnership with American Express Middle East (AEME), which covers American Express bill settlements through BBK’s Internet retail banking channel and its branch network.

Under the renewed agreement, mutual clients of the two organisations can now settle their American Express bills in both US dollars and Bahrain dinars online, using BBK’s Internet retail banking channel.

In addition, all American Express Card members can make card bill payments at any BBK branch or financial mall.

BBK already provides American Express Middle East efficient payments solutions for AMEX merchant settlements across the kingdom.

“We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with AEME and continue to provide innovative solutions that increase efficiencies and enhance transparency for our customers,” said BBK chief executive Abdulkarim Bucheery.

“Our cash management team is dedicated to providing pioneering products and services to our corporate and institutional customers.

“Our long-term relationship with AEME is further proof of our commitment in finding the best viable solution to handle our client’s requirements,” he added.

“American Express is committed to providing its card members greater choice and flexibility in managing their card payments as this is in keeping with our strategic objective to provide customer convenience,” said AEME Middle East chief executive Mazin Khoury.

“We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with BBK and offer their innovative payment solutions to our card members, to ensure that all payments are completed on time without any hurdles.”
