BBK Supports BIBF’s Dealing Room

Financial contribution boosts the first educational dealing room in the region
BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, donated BD 5,000 as one of the sponsors for the dealing room that the
BIBF
recently inaugurated in its premises as the first educational dealing room in the region. It is part of the modern educational facilities that
BIBF
established to support its objectives of providing high quality professional education and training in the field of finance.

Dr. Jamal Hijris, General Manager – Support Group at BBK, presented the cheque to Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh,
BIBF
Deputy Director, in the presence of representatives from the two organisations. The amount will support the dealing room for the two coming years (2015 and 2016).

Dr. Hijris said that the development and training of the human capital is a strategic priority for BBK; and of utmost importance; supporting the education and training sector being a main focus for the bank.

For his part, Dr. Al Shaikh expressed appreciation to BBK for its continuous support for
BIBF
and its interest in training Bahrainis and equipping them with the best educational and professional skills that allow them to enter the labour market, especially in the financial and banking sector.

He said BBK’s support of an outstanding project like the dealing room, the first of its kind in the region, helps provide quality education and training to meet the requirements of the financial markets, where state of the art technologies are used. He also added that this sponsorship reinforced BBK’s commitment to supporting Bahrain’s economic development in one of the most important areas, education and training.
