BCCI chairman receives Russian delegation

Manama, Oct. 1 (BNA): Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Chairman Khalid Al-Moayed has underscored the importance of activating and developing Bahraini-Russian economic and investment relations in all fields.


He highlighted the importance of implementing and following up on the recommendations of the latest visit of the political leadership and Bahraini businessmen to Russia, saying that promoting bilateral relations according to the potentials requires sustainability of bilateral meetings.

This came during a meeting held between BCCI chairman and a Russian delegation from Saint Petersburg.

BCCI chairman lauded the Russian official authorities’ efforts and active role in order to facilitate the visit of BCCI and Bahraini businessmen delegation to Russia next October, which aims to consolidate the joint economic and investment cooperation framework.

They reviewed a number of recommendations and proposals aimed at strengthening and developing bilateral trade.

BCCI focused on economy’s growing sectors in the Kingdoms and will be represented by members of the Bahraini delegation participant in the planned visit, calling on the Russian private sector to benefit from this visit and explore available investment projects.
The Russian delegation praised the Kingdom’s cultural and economic growth and highlighted the development of the economic and political bilateral relations, calling on investing in the Russian-Bahraini Business Council so as to further explore investment opportunities.

They affirmed the readiness of the Russian chambers of commerce and official authorities to provide all aspects of support required for the success of the Bahraini delegation visit to Russia, so as to meet the aspirations of both the countries.
