BCCI keen to promote excellence, training culture

Manama, Apr. 24 (BNA): Chief Executive of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Nabil ABdulrahman Al Mahmoud has lauded the efforts of the Bahrain Society for the Owners of the Private Training Institutes (BSOPTI) in providing training and consultations and holding workshops in various fields.

He also expressed pride in the Bahraini competencies’ work in training institutes and supporting government and private institutions.

Al Mahmoud was speaking as he received at Beit Al-Tijjar recently members of the executive staff and the training committee of BCCI, led by BSOPTI Board of Directors Chairman Dr. Ahmed Al-Obaidali, in the presence of BSOPTI Board member and Chairperson of BCCI’s Training, Human Resources and Education Dr. Lulwas Al-Motlaq.

Al Mahmoud affirmed BCCI’s interest in enhancing the performance of its competencies and human resources through training, promoting the culture of excellence and exchange of knowledge, stressing that the private sector’s keenness on investing in human resources through implementing training programmes in various establishments, in line with the directives of the leadership in this regard.

He called for intensifying joint meetings and functions with training institutes in the kingdom in order to identify the needs of the labour market and provide training and educational programmes to meet the needs of the private sector.

He highlighted the kingdom’s desire to be an outstanding hub for trade exchange based on knowledge-based economy, given its leading status in this regard, and highly qualified human resources and competencies.

Dr. Al-Obaidali expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation to BCCI for establishing a special committee to train national competencies, pledging BSOPT’s continuous efforts to serve training institutes and consolidate cooperation with BCCI.

The two sides agreed on the importance of partnership among government and private establishment in order to overcome challenges facing the training centre to develop it.
