Manama, June 16 (BNA)– Bahrain News Agency (BNA) hosted today a reception ceremony at the Capital Club Bahrain, at Bahrain Financial Harbour, for Directors of Arab and Asian news agencies taking part in the first joint meeting of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) and the Organisation of the Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) which kicked off in Bahrain today and will continue for two days.
BNA Acting Director General Mohannad Suleiman welcomed the directors of the Arab and Asian news agencies and their accompanying delegations, wishing them a good stay in Bahrain and every success in attaining set up goals.
He expressed hope the conference would come up with resolutions that meet the aspirations of the Arab and Asian news agencies, wishing the conference every success in boosting cooperation among the Arab and Asian news agencies.
On their part, the Directors of the Arab and Asian news agencies thanked Bahrain for hosting the conference, lauding the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to them. They underscored the importance of the meeting in spotlighting key issues.
Countries taking part are Russia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, China, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, South Korea, Vietnam, the UAE, Kazakhstan, Kuwait and Indonesia.
