Manama, Nov. 9. (BNA) – The Bahrain News Agency (BNA) devoted its Majlis to the Arab Court of Human Rights, proposed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in 2011 and approved by the Arab League.
Deputy Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) and Chairman of its Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee Abdulla Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairman of the Bahrain Bar Society lawyer Abdulrahman Ghunaim and former MP lawyer Fareed Ghazi attended.
They lauded HM the King’s proposal to establish the Arab Court of Human Rights, noting that it will promote human rights culture across Arab countries and protect the rights of Arab citizens.
They added that Manama’s hosting of the court’s headquarters reflects the distinguished reputation enjoyed by the kingdom in the field of human rights.
