Manama, Jan. 28 (BNA): Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) secretary-general Abdulrahman Askar has asserted that the Bahraini officials’ overseas posts underline their outstanding reputation, experience and abilities to lead international organisations in the field of sports management.

He made the statement after his meeting with President of the Bahrain and Asian Shooting Federations Shaikh Ali bin Abdulla Al Khalifa at the committee premises in Seef.

Askar congratulated Shaikh Ali on winning the Asian Shooting Federationpresidency and noted that this achievement is an evidence of the federation family’s trust in his abilities to develop this particular sport in the continent.

Askar also expressed the pride on behalf of the BOC, headed by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for Shaikh Ali’s new post, which is a result of Bahrain’s leadership to its sports officials.
The BOC general secretary extended the committee’s commitment to provide all that would assist the Asian Shooting Federation to implement its activities and programmes the best way.

Shaikh Ali thanked the BOC for backing national sports figures and keenness to provide ideal conditions for regional, continental and international federations based in Bahrain.

Shaikh Ali asserted his eagerness to represent his country the best way and lead the federation to progress and success.
