The project received a major boost when the Council of Representatives approved a soft loan from the Islamic Development Bank.




The iconic Bahrain Pearl Trail project, which features on the Unesco list of world heritage sites, received a major boost when the Council of Representatives approved a soft loan from the Islamic Development Bank for the completion of the project.

President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, thanked members of the Council of Representatives for supporting the Kingdom’s efforts to meet the requirements of the Unesco regarding heritage conservation and encourage the investment in the renovation of Bahraini’s vestiges.
