Boost to BACA, EDB cooperation

Manama, Feb. 1 (BNA): President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, stressed the significance of mustering efforts of all entities to boost the Bahraini cultural scene.

She praised the constant cooperation between the Authority and the Economic Development Board (EDB) that culminated in fruitful preoccupation with the annual Cultural Spring Festival slated to take place between the end of February and April.

Shaikha Mai made her remarks as she received EDB’s CEO Khalid Al Rumaihi.

The meeting comes within and as part of bolstering the joint cooperation to explore potential future projects achievement to modernize the Kingdom’s cultural and touristic infrastructures. She said the cultural activities and events are the road to sustainable cultural and touristic industry to develop the community and showcase the nation’s image. Shaikha Mai said BACA in 2016 will promote the Kingdom’s ancient cultural components under the slogan “Your Destination is Bahrain”.

From his side, Al Rumaihi expressed his admiration of BACA’s efforts in the enrichment of the cultural activities and maintaining the original identity of the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirming the EDB’s readiness to continually coordinate with the Authority in the achievement of the cultural products, wishing the 11th Cultural Spring Festival a successful season.
