Boosting safety ‘is vital to the nation’

IMPROVING Bahrain’s economic and security situation are among the nation’s top priorities, the Premier said yesterday during a meeting with senior officials.

He said this was vital to stave off attempts to destabilise the country and subvert national security.

Officials present included Supreme Islamic Affairs Council president Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa, parliament chairman Dr Khalifa Al Dhahrani, Shura Council president Ali Saleh Al Saleh and MPs.

“The law will take its course against terrorists and instigators seeking to fuel sectarianism,” said the Premier.

He outlined the government’s efforts to promote Bahrain’s business environment among foreign investors and stressed the importance of benefiting from Bahrain’s assets, particularly the King Fahad Causeway.
