Fishermen from Threspuram approached the Collectorate here on Monday seeking the intervention of the district administration to bring back the body of a fisherman, who died in Bahrain, to Tuticorin.
According to a petition submitted by S. Parisha of Threspuram to Collector M. Ravikumar, her husband, K. Kaja, who was employed in fishing at Bahrain, died of mysterious injuries after his admission to a hospital in Bahrain on July 17 this year.
The family was shocked to know his death after 10 days. But, the employer remained unaware of his death and there was no information about where the body was, the petitioner said.
