Butterfields To Compete In Bahrain Ironman

Nikki and Tyler Butterfield have revealed that they will line up for Australia and Bermuda respectively at the new star-studded Bahrain Challenge Half Ironman in December.

The race’s $500,000 prize purse has attracted some of the biggest names in long distance racing.

According to a report on Challenge-Family.com, “Hundreds of age group athletes will race along side the biggest names in triathlon on one of the fastest and most diverse courses on the international circuit.”

Recent wind tunnel training :

“High-tech architecture, 5,000 year-old culture, F1 racing, and indigenous wildlife all make up the unique 113 kilometre course.

“The battle for the world’s largest prize purse over the half distance of $500,000 has attracted the best of the best in long distance racing, as well as lured some well-known individuals over from short course racing, making their long distance debut.”

The Bahrain Challenge Half Ironman will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2014, following three days of opening events
