Manama, Jun 21 (BNA) — Minister of Culture, Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, has met Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister, Sok An, and briefed him on cultural and tourist attractions in Bahrain.
The parties highlighted both countries’ keenness to develop relations in all fields and promote cultural and heritage cooperation.
Cambodian Deputy Premier toured Bahrain National Museum and Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage, where he was briefed on the Arab Regional Center’s role in preserving cultural and natural heritage in Arab region.
He visited in his three-day visit to Bahrain the Shaikh Ibrahim Culture and Researches Center and Bahrain Fort to learn about the ancient Dilmun civilization and its role in shaping Bahrain culture and civilization. He also visited Bahrain Pearl Route, which is registered on UNESCO World Heritage List.
He wrapped his tour in Bab Al-Bahrain and expressed delight in enhancing information about Bahrain’s culture and heritage.
