Manama, Jul. 12. (BNA) – Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa has received here the Russian Ambassador to Bahrain Victor Smirnov.

They lauded the advanced level of the Bahraini-Russian relations, especially following the signing of a joint cooperation agreement.

They affirmed the two countries’ desire to enhance bilateral cooperation.

The Russian Ambassador conveyed to the Capital Governor greetings from his Saint Petersburg counterpart Georgy Poltavchenko.

A memorandum of co-operation between Manama and the city of St Petersbur was signed by the two governors during Shaikh Hesham’s recent visit to Russia.
