Capital Governorate celebrates National Day

Manama, Dec13(BNA) A grand ceremony was held today at Al-Fateh beach on The Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebrations of its National Days on December 16 and 17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 43rd Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 15th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa’s Accession to the Throne.


The Capital Governorate co-organised the popular celebration in cooperation with the Capital General-Secretariat under the slogan “National Days Bring Us Together”.

Addressing the event, Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa described the two national occasions as days of pride for all Bahrainis, hailing landmark achievements which marked the prosperous era of HM the King.

The fun-packed celebration featured an operetta, traditional ardha shows, fireworks. The Interior Ministry police band also took part in the ceremony and a draw was held on a Peugeot car presented by Al-Zayani Investment Company.
