Charity Innovation Conference opens

Manama, Oct.10 (BNA): The Charity Innovation Conference and Exhibition -2015 opened today in Bahrain under the auspices of Supreme Islamic Affairs Council (SIAC) President Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa.
Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al-Khalifa opened the events in the presence of heads of charity societies, civil society organisations and social responsibility pioneers from 20 countries.

Bahrain News Agency (BNA – Live) broadcast live the event, which was also covered by Bahrain TV and the local newspapers.
Addressing the inaugural session, the minister stressed the importance of promoting charity work excellence, exploring innovative solutions and mustering all efforts, resources and ideas to overcome challenges.

He underlined the Government’s drive to encourage innovative and trailblazing ideas, exchange ideas and expertise, stressing the importance of the event which brings together charity work pioneers from Arab and friendly countries.

He underlined Bahrain’s keenness on embracing and disseminating the culture of creativity in charity work, citing in this regard the Kingdom’s web-based International Holy Quran Recitation (Global Reciter), which was launched by the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry.
