Chechnya is located in the North Caucasus, Russia situated in the southernmost part of Eastern Europe, and within 100 kilometers of the Caspian Sea. The capital of the Russian republic is the city of Grozny. As of the 2010 Census, the republic had a population of 1,268,989 people, predominantly of the Chechen ethnic group with a notable Russian minority.
Grozny Airport in Chechnya, Russia will soon be an international destination hub. A final agreements is about to be signed and Bahrain would finance a new aircraft and equipment for Grozny’s airport in an effort to turn it into an international hub.
The head of Russia’s North Caucasus Republic of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has reached an agreement with the ruling family of Bahrain on founding a new airline.
Kadyrov’s official website said preliminary agreement was reached on November 16 during a meeting between Kadyrov, who is touring the Middle East, and Sheikh Favas al-Khalifa, a representative of Bahrain’s royal family.

The agreements reportedly include plans to start additional flights from Grozny to the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia.
