‘Condemn violence’

INDONESIA’S ambassador to Bahrain has urged all factions of society to condemn violence and terrorism to make way for true dialogue.

Chilman Arisman said the new-look National Dialogue was the only way out of Bahrain’s three-year political crisis.

“Dialogue is the way to settle differences among factions, including those with political interests,” he told the GDN.

“I believe if it succeeds it will bring a fresh impetus for a new Bahrain and this is in the spirit of the country – people from all ideologies should unite.

“It is important for all those concerned to avoid violence and terrorism and instead promote a culture of dialogue.

“I am confident that Indonesia and Bahrain will march side by side on the road to progress and contribute significantly to the economic development of the region.”
