Crown Prince and US Ambassador discuss international coalition efforts against …

Manama, Sept. 18 (BNA)– His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met with the United States Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Excellency Mr. Thomas Krajeski, at Gudaibiya Palace.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness pledged his full commitment to counter all forms of terrorism to ensure a long and lasting stability in the Middle East.

He went on to outline Bahrain’s active steps in providing tactical and logistical support to aid the international coalition’s efforts to address terrorism across the region. His Royal Highness comments follows Bahrain’s support made at the recent NATO summit, to work with the United States and international allies to further support lasting regional stability and security.

His Royal Highness emphasised that Bahrain stands alongside regional allies in their commitment to take all necessary measures to confront all forms of terrorism and cooperate with international and regional efforts to eliminate the spread of violent extremism. This follows on from the recent landmark meeting in Jeddah between Arab Foreign Ministers and US Secretary of State, John Kerry.

His Royal Highness echoed recent remarks of His Majesty King Hamad reaffirming Bahrain’s commitment to preventing the spread of terrorism and advancing long-term stability in the Middle East.

Speaking to the strength of the US and Bahrain relationship, which is firmly built upon the principles of mutual respect and shared strategic goals, His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of improving all levels of bilateral cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism.

In response, Ambassador Krajeski highlighted Bahrain’s significant contributions to advancing regional and international peace and security and reiterated his country’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation with Bahrain.

The meeting was also attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and US Navy Vice Admiral John Miller, Commander US Naval Forces Central Command, US Fifth Fleet and Combined Maritime Forces
