Crown Prince: Enhanced public and private sector cooperation will boost …

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister this evening visited the Majlises of Al Sheikh Ibrahim Al Saad, the Minister of State for Follow up Affairs, His Excellency Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Mutawa and the Al-Binali family.

During his visits, His Royal Highness highlighted the critical link between strategic planning and implementation mechanisms to better serve all Bahrainis, in line with His Majesty King Hamad’s directives.

His Royal Highness also stressed the important role investment projects play in further enhancing the Kingdom’s diverse economy and emphasised how significant development projects across the private and public sectors contribute to Bahrain’s economic success.

His Royal Highness went on to highlight the importance of improving coordination between the public and private sector in order to achieve maximum benefit of the Kingdom’s development projects totaling USD$24.5 billion. Aligned to the Kingdom’s strategy for sustainable economic growth, the substantial investment these development projects represent will help to build the infrastructure required to support further development in the future.

His Royal Highness further highlighted the role of the public sector in driving economic growth and noted that civil services are firmly based on the Kingdom’s commitment to provide its citizens with the best service possible. This commitment, he added, should be extended across various programmes, initiatives and day to day operations of all institutions, in order to ensure the essential components of sustainable growth are maintained.

In this regard, His Royal Highness highlighted that a national priority for the Kingdom is to continue to work to enhance the performance of all institutions and develop necessary training skills for Bahrain’s national workforce.

His Royal Highness went on to add that reinforcing national values across the Kingdom is of the highest importance. He noted that under these values, religious speech and media texts should continue to promote the unity of society in spite of various regional events that run counter to positive reform and development. He further stressed the importance of guarding the Kingdom against any attempts that would serve to deter the Kingdom from pursuing its long-term stability and development plans. These two pillars have been reinforced by His Majesty King Hamad as part of the Kingdom’s wider programme of consensus-based reform and development.

His Royal Highness further highlighted the importance of Bahrain’s collective efforts to advance national unity. He emphasised that these efforts will continue to bolster the Kingdom’s ongoing development programme, which aims to reinforce Bahrain’s status in the region.

His Royal Highness also stressed the importance of maintaining the distinctive characteristics of Bahrain’s identity, particularly, by preserving the authenticity of historic buildings and architecture across the Kingdom. He added that these iconic structures demonstrate Bahrain’s rich culture and heritage and highlight the Kingdom’s deep roots in Islamic and Arab civilization.

In conclusion, His Royal Highness extended his best wishes to the people of Bahrain during the holy month of Ramadan, and highlighted the significant role of Ramadan in reinforcing principles of unity, compassion and tolerance.

For their part, the audience noted His Royal Highness’ commitment to Ramadan Majlises. They also emphasised the role of His Royal Highness’ Majlises visits during the holy month of Ramadan in demonstrating the commitment of the Kingdom to ensuring the essential components of development and long term stability.
