London, May 20 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met the United Kingdom’s Defence Secretary, Michael Fallon MP, at the Ministry of Defence in Whitehall, London.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted that the two hundred year old relationship between Bahrain and the United Kingdom has led to close cooperation across a wide range of areas. In this regard, His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of bilateral military and defence cooperation to ensure security and stability across the region.

His Royal Highness further highlighted the important role of the new British naval base in further bolstering relations and strengthening cooperation to address regional threats. His Royal Highness concluded by highlighting the kingdom’s commitment to further bolstering all levels of cooperation and coordination between Bahrain and the UK, particularly, in the military and defense spheres.
