Manama, Nov 27 (BNA) — His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister said there were many promising opportunities for commercial and economic cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation at a meeting today with high-levelbusinessmen from Russia at the Riffa Palace.
His Royal Highness outlined how bilateral cooperation could be deepened and broadened in line with the shared interest of both countries in developing political and economic relations. Referencing His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa’s recent visit to Russia, His Royal Highness noted the need to continue to reinforce cooperation following the trip that had resulted in the signing of several agreements the opened opportunities for both business and investment. He also noted the primary importance of the private sector in reinforcing commercial and economic relations between Bahrain and Russia and in launching ventures and increasing visits.
His Royal Highness emphasised the role of Bahrain in hosting Islamic financial and banking institutions of high international standing and which can be used to boost cooperation. He also stressed the significance of reinforcing investments and launching joint ventures in diverse sectors, including industry, energy and food.
In conclusion, His Royal Highness expressed the hope that the visit by the Russian delegation to Bahrain would contribute to opening new opportunities for economic and commercial cooperation and reinforce the role of the private sector in both countries. He also hoped it would enhanced ties that reflect the genuine interest of the private sector in supporting the two countries and their shared objectives.
The members of the Russian delegation expressed gratitude to His Royal Highness for the meeting opportunity, his interest in their visit and Bahrain’s desire for greater cooperation with the Russian Federation.
Dr. Essam Fakhro, the President of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, also attended themeeting.
