C&W/Sure to be bought by Bahrain’s telecom company

AN agreement has been reached for Bahrain’s telecom company to buy the part of Cable Wireless/Sure that includes its Jersey operation for US$680 million.

Subject to approval by competition regulators, the deal will be concluded at the end of March next year.

He said: ‘There are no plans to change the structures and we are looking forward to working with the team at Bahrain Telecommunications Company.’
