At least one person has been killed and another injured in the second bomb blast within 24 hours in Bahrain, according to interior ministry officials.
The latest attack in a predominatly Shia village southeast of the capital, Manama, on Tuesday came after a policeman was killed in what officials called a “terrorist” attack, which they blamed on the Lebanese group Hezbollah on Monday night.
The fresh explosion in Karzakan killed a Bahraini national and slightly wounded an Asian national, the interior ministry said.
It is the second blast Manama described as a “terrorist attack” since Monday night, when an officer was killed “while on duty” in the predominantly Shia town of Damistan.
Tuesday’s blast came as security forces cordoned off Damistan and tightened securiy checks amid a probe into the previous attack.
