Deputy premier holds luncheon in honour of former Turkish president

Manama, Sept. 15 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa received here today the former President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gül, currently on a visit to Bahrain.


Shaikh Mohammed hailed the Bahraini-Turkish relations on all levels,.

He praised the former president’s clear visions on the multiple challenges facing the region, praising his supportive stances towards Bahrain.

The Deputy Prime Minister held a lunch banquet in honour of the former Turkish President, in the presence of the Speaker of the Council of Representatives Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, a number of officials at the Turkish Embassy in Manama, International Peace Institute (IPI) President Terje Rod-Larsen, Director of IPI Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Nejib Friji and former President of the Republic of Turkey’s accompanying delegation.
