Deputy Premier patronises ceremony

Manama, Mar. 22. (BNA) A ceremony was held this evening at the Cultural Hall in Manama in honour of Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al-Khalifa.


Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa patronised the event in the presence of Parliament Chairman, ministers, officials and diplomats.

Bahrain Writers’ Association organized the honouring ceremony in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, the State Ministry for Information Affairs and the Economic Development Board (EDB).

The Deputy Premier paid tribute to Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al-Khalifa for his prolific literary contribution and his prominence as a cultural symbol in Bahrain.

He commended the role of the Bahrain Writers’ Association for its efforts to promote the literary and cultural movement in Bahrain as well as its drive to honour creative Bahrainis.

The ceremony featured a documentary film depictive the lifetime march and achievements of the honouree Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al-Khalifa.
