Deputy Premier Receives ILO Delegation

Manama, Oct. 9. (BNA) – The International Labour Organisation (ILO) has commended the measures taken by the Government of Bahrain to implement the provisions of the tripartite agreement and reinstate those dismissed, praising its efforts to cooperate with the private sector to solve the issue of dismissed workers fully and expressing appreciation to the kingdom for its cooperation with ILO and positive dealing with all international agreements.
This came as Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today, in the presence of the Labour Minister Jameel Humaidan, an ILO delegation, led by Cleopatra Henry, currently on a visit to the kingdom.
During the meeting, Shaikh Mohammed welcomed the delegation’s visit, reiterating the government’s cooperation regarding all issues related to workers and their rights.

He also asserted that the government is keen on enhancing its cooperation with ILO concerning the implementation of the agreements signed with it, and follows up closely all labour issues out of its keenness to protect the interests of the nation and the citizens.
