Director of Services, Haematology – Bahrain

Our client are looking for a Director of Services to run a state of the art new Haematology Clinic based in Bahrain.
The role:-
To develop and provide robust plans to maintain a clinically safe service to patients and to uphold the organisations brand integrity and reputation.
Ensure robust clinical governance of the contract is maintained and clinical excellence achieved with optimum patient experience being delivered
To develop, agree and manage a robust strategy and annual plans for the contract to meet the contractual requirements and business targets.
Develop and implement a robust framework for Corporate Governance in line with Governing principles and corporate management systems to ensure service complies with all health, safety and other legal requirements upon the business and service delivery is optimised.
Develop and implement comprehensive workforce management strategies
Implement, update and maintain centre policies that are aligned to wider corporate practice, including the implementation of comprehensive clinical policies as directed by subject matter experts / parent organisations
To conduct regular reviews of plans, monitoring and taking action to ensure business targets are met, including submitting accurate and timely reports.
Maintain a tight operational discipline with a rigorous approach to service excellence and profit improvement.
Deliver strategic leadership across contracting and procurement driving a culture of continuous improvement and commerciality.
To focus on the future direction of the contract, to include implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, and strengthen the customer relationship to enable the success of future rebids and/or market tests.
Skills
Knowledge of effectively managing the supply chain to improve both cost and quality to help deliver the requirements of the contract.
Able to develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy in line with group objectives.
Ability to lead a step change in performance through operational improvement and strong leadership.
An energetic person with leadership potential and the ability to create and communicate a compelling vision and sense of purpose that motivates teams at all levels.
Well-developed management skills combining and open and inclusive approach with the ability to work as a team player.

Ideally qualified to degree level and membership of appropriate professional body.

Driven to set high standards of performance, maintain a strong working relationship with the onsite client and be able to motivate a large team in order to drive the business to the next level as the benchmark for excellence in the provision of all patient safety and quality standards.
An excellent people manager and communicator with a passion for driving the business forward. Ideally you will be degree educated and have gained experience in managing large public venues.
Candidates for this position should have management experience in a customer facing multi-site environment. You should be experienced in the delivery of clinical services and able to demonstrate that you have the potential to lead and inspire your team and make an impact from day one.
