Dong named investment chief of firm

Manama: Johannes Van Der Dong has been appointed the new chief investment officer of Bahrain-based Takaud, a regional provider of savings, investment and pension solutions.

Mr Dong will lead the firm’s investment management function, focusing on the provision of a wide, top-rated range of funds, investment strategies and innovative investment solutions for the company’s savings, wealth management and pension clients.

With 15 years of experience in portfolio management, fund selection and investment research, he joins Takaud from Bank ABC, where he was head of alternative investments.

“Mr Dong’s appointment has come at such an important time for us as we see a great momentum in our individual savings line, wealth management which was launched recently, and several business partnerships in the region,” chief executive Luc Metivier said.
