Manama, June 15 (BNA) — Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr. Hassan Abdullah Fakhro paid a visit to Bahrain Flour Mills Company (BFMC), within the Ministry’s efforts to stand on the market’s developments and check on the availability of consumer staples prior to the start of holy month of Ramadan.

The Minister’s received a tour accompanied by Board Chairman Yusuf Saleh Al-Saleh, Board members Dr. Abdulla Mansour and Nadir Al-Moayed and the Company’s General Manager Mohammad Naas, during which he was briefed on the quantities and types of wheat products and the Company’s production capacity, in addition to the domestic market needs and the Company’s preparation to meet the citizen’s demands during Ramadan.

Dr. Fakhro noted the government’s keenness to support the citizens’ basic foods, including flour, which has been capable of achieving price stability in the past decades of flour products, red meat and poultry to make them affordable to everyone.
