Drift and Burnout Nights set at BIC

BAHRAIN International Circuit (BIC), “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East,” is all set to host its third weekend of exciting Ramadan events, following the success of its back-to-back rounds held over the last two weekends in Sakhir.

Scores of fans flocked to BIC to watch 53 participants compete at the second event of Burnout Night last week.

Meanwhile, drivers from across Bahrain and the GCC participated in Drift Night’s opening round that took place earlier this month.

Both events remain as popular mainstays on BIC’s events calendar during Ramadan, attracting fans and participants to enjoy themselves at the world-class desert circuit.

The second round of Drift Nights takes place tonight, while the third round of the Burnout Nights series takes place tomorrow.

Both competitions will be held at car parks four and five. The entry fee to participate in either event is BD5.

Fans wishing to catch the action up close can get into a car as a passenger by paying BD2. Registration on both nights gets underway at 8pm and top performers will receive prizes at the end of each event.

Competitors in both the Burnout and Drifting must go through scrutineering before being given the green light to participate. Entrants must have a rear-wheel-drive car and a valid road driver’s licence to be eligible.

They and any potential passengers must also be wearing suitable footwear, meaning no sandals or slippers. Shorts are also not allowed as the legs must be fully covered.

General entrance is free to all on both nights, while those looking for VIP access during Burnout Night can enter for BD10.
